Confetti Institute of Creative Technologies (CICT) is a forward thinking centre of learning, home to the very best technology, studios, equipment and industry-connected tutors. Now in our 25th year, we provide a vibrant and professional learning environment for over 1600 passionate and committed students studying for careers in the creative industries. In 2015 the Confetti Media Group was acquired by Nottingham Trent University, increasing the opportunities for growth and success over the coming years. We have recently undergone an exciting campus transformation, part of a £12m development programme. 

We are looking for a passionate, gifted and creative tutor to teach on our Level 1 Introduction to Creative Industries course. You will also have clear and innovative ideas around teaching and learning at Level 1 / Foundation level.

The experience, skills and knowledge required for this role are:

  • Experience in teaching and supporting learners from a wide range of backgrounds and with different needs.  
  • Experience in supporting learners with personal development skills to enable them to achieve.
  • An understanding of video production, photography and design in addition to associated editing and production processes.
  • An understanding of the practice of filming both on location and in a studio environment.
  • A knowledge and understanding of lighting techniques.
  • Appropriate health and safety practices.
  • A familiarity with postproduction software packages such as the Adobe Creative Cloud suite.

From planning lessons and preparing resources for designated programmes and modules to delivering enriching sessions and activities, and supporting students through group and individual tutorials, our tutors are at the heart of the student experience. 

It is essential that you are conversant with current professional practices within your field of expertise. You will have experience of teaching at further education. You will also be educated to degree level and preferably hold a recognised teaching qualification.
